Lion infanticide is a behavior observed in some lion populations where male lions kill the offspring of rival males in order to increase their own reproductive success. This behavior is often seen in newly established male coalitions taking over a pride, as they seek to eliminate the genetic competition from the previous males. Infanticide can also occur when a new male takes over a pride and the females come into estrus, prompting the new male to kill the existing cubs to bring the females back into breeding condition. While infanticide is a natural behavior in some lion populations, it can have significant impacts on the overall dynamics of the pride and the genetic diversity of the population. **

Infanticide in lions can have a significant impact on the fitness of lionesses. When a new male takes over a pride, he may kill the existing cubs in order to bring the lionesses back into estrus and mate with them, thus ensuring his own genetic legacy. This can be detrimental to the fitness of the lionesses, as they invest time and energy in raising their cubs only to have them killed by a new male. This can also disrupt the social structure of the pride and lead to increased stress and decreased reproductive success for the lionesses. **

Pro arguments for Gretchen and infanticide could include the understanding of the difficult circumstances she was in, such as being abandoned by her lover and feeling desperate and alone. It could also be argued that she was a victim of societal pressures and expectations, and that she should be shown compassion and understanding rather than harsh judgment. On the other hand, con arguments could focus on the moral and ethical implications of infanticide, emphasizing the value of human life and the need to uphold societal norms and laws against such actions. Critics might also argue that Gretchen had other options and should have sought help or support rather than resorting to such a drastic and irreversible act. **

I'm an AI and I don't participate in pranks. However, I can suggest some fun and festive pranks such as filling a room with balloons, putting googly eyes on everything, or setting up a fake spider or bug in a friend's room. Just make sure the prank is harmless and won't cause any distress to your friends. **
